Almost as if they've only just started listening to these strands of UK electronic music. I don't know if this is a growing interest of these US acts, I don't really know what to make of it..

nah. theres nothing wrong with playing other genres or introducing other genres. Its more when its really badly mixed and the tunes being played are really bait then its going to be a bit embarrassing. I guess they are playing party tunes but then again its boiler room not a hyped party where everyones fucked.

Pretty funny set... Also hilarious reading everybody bashing on 2 DJs they don't like playing the songs that were your favorite songs 2 years ago...

At the very least this means shit DJs might be digging around and finding half decent tracks to play which is encouraging, perhaps, but it certainly does seem more likely that they just browsed the top "UK BASS FUTURE GARREGE HITZ 2011" youtube channels or whatever.

What gets me most about the set is the complete lack of cohesion/style going on here.. Hyph Mngo somehow ends up leading to Wile Out and then hip hop and then what? Disclosure tracks and Au Seve? And ending with Silo Pass?

I dunno. This video makes me uncomfortable. I'm gettin' outta here.
