Re: forthcoming TEMPA
am I the only one that thinks responsibility/no cure is just boring? I like most of LX One's stuff but that just doesn't do it for me...

Re: forthcoming TEMPA
Agreed. The youngsta collab on the sp ep is not so great either, sounds like a rehash of the taiko dub tune but not so exciting.scattybeanhead wrote:am I the only one that thinks responsibility/no cure is just boring? I like most of LX One's stuff but that just doesn't do it for me...

i hate to say that, but i find his recent releases all sound very samey. i wouldn't say those two new tunes are boring in general, but they just sound like any other LX tune. i'm really curious to hear what his album sounds like and if he manages to make it a little more diverse.scattybeanhead wrote:am I the only one that thinks responsibility/no cure is just boring? I couldn't help myself with the Declassified EP on Beatport, I had to drop the $7 for it. SP is that good for me

Re: forthcoming TEMPA
Absolutely. I expect much more from LX One and Youngsta. "Why" is one of my favorite tunes out right now and "Destruction" is one of my favorite dubstep tunes ever. "Responsibility" is ok but I think "No Cure" is ruined by that stupid breathing sound. It sounds like a poor kryptic minds immitation.scattybeanhead wrote:am I the only one that thinks responsibility/no cure is just boring? i was pretty excited about responsibilty when i heard it first, but now it doesn't do it for me. No cure never did.steesi wrote:Absolutely. I expect much more from LX One and Youngsta. Re: forthcoming TEMPA
I actually quite like No Cure, love the downplayed vibe and the sub is massive... Responsibility though, that one doesn't really do much for me but I suspect it's because I've heard it so many times by now. It just seems to me a little too much like "standard" dubstep fare.steesi wrote:Absolutely. I expect much more from LX One and Youngsta. The SP:MC EP, now that's a different story. Percussion galore! It's awesome.

Tempa artwork is always on point. Cant wait for this one to drop!
Re: forthcoming TEMPA
not too hyped about the truth release any more. the kenzo EP confirmed for the summer sounds really promising though:
Cause And Effect is big and Bloodlines is a effing stomper. got that good ol' militant loefah vibe.
