I wasn't too impressed by this is England. It was a tad predictable and only had two or three fully realised characters in it, the rest seemed to be filler or simply there because the plot demanded it. It wasn't crap though.

If you liked that you should check out A Room For Romeo Brass if you haven't already.

Ah cool, first thing we've agreed upon for ages

Think the cast were mostly amateurs but I thought he managed to get some seriously good and believable performances from them, the kid in particular was outstanding. I like the way that he looks at the mindset of violent people and doesn't just write them as monsters or glamourize their actions.
Hmm....

The Pusher Trilogy: Danish film series 3 dvd about drug dealers etc 8/10
Each DVD Centres on a central charactor, and they make up the whole story.

Fireworks - Hana-Bi 9/10
Typical Japanese film, has several layers (emotionally)might seem kind of sentimental, but overall its a great film experience.

I would also say Hana-bi is in no way a typical Japanese film.

Finally watched all of "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" today, hilarious.

Also saw the begining 3/4 of 'Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny' and cant wait to finish it, that movie, dare I say, Rocks.

Watched 'Superbad' on Sunday. One of the funniest movies Ive seen in a long time. I laughed the whole time. "McLovin? Sounds like a sexy cheeseburger..."

not to jump on a bandwagon here or anything, but this opinion must be thirded, there is nothing typical about hana-bi.
