producing there is not much difference, everything is just sllllllightly nice for producing. playing out i think worth reaching for the mk2.
though: the new software for the mk2 that should be coming might make the gap between them larger than we currently know.
I'd be using it to enhance my workflow when producing, but the big draw is definitely using it to play out. Watching different reviews etc. seems to point towards getting the MK2 for that reason, but it's just twice as expensive!

Reddit can be a really great site if you find the good subreddits. Yeah the majority of the user base sucks, but that's just like life. Gotta search out the good stuff.

Yeah 2.0 isnt far off (apparently)
Not sure if it will be just for the mk2, but rumour has it that a lot of the stuff will be designed with the MK2 in mind and the MK1 might not be able to do certain things.
Sorry i don't know much beyond online speculation, it might be worth waiting to see any NI announcements - either way it might drive down the price of second hand mk2s if everyone is wanting to upgrade for 2.0.
