Need help finding specific hardware (involving RCAs and XLR)

Hey guys,

so here's the deal, I have a few synths and players that all have an RCA output, including my focusrite saffire 6 usb that has RCA outputs. The problem is that i'd like to hook them up to speakers that have an XLR input. I could just get the right cables yes, but the problem is some of my players don't have an inbuilt volume control, so i'd like to be able to hook them all up to the same thing and connect them in XLR whilst be able to change the volume of each thing. Instead of buying an expensive mixer i was wondering if there was any alternative...

I found something on musicstore that's almost what i need http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/GBP/Fame ... 006860-000, but i was wondering if there is any cheaper thing out there that does the same... no need of EQs or anything, just volume control... Thanks for the help!!

Buy a mixer that's good, but not expensive.
Like a 2nd hand Mackie 8 or 12.

You know that mixer you listed only has four mono inputs right?

Defo go second hand. I also really like the Yamaha MG series of mixers, I have a mg102c. I agree, don't buy cheap and also add to that: buy something you can grow into. I learned that lesson the hard way several times. Count how many stereo and mono inputs you need. Then shop mixers. Many times mixers list how many mono channels they have, not stereo. So make sure you know exactly what you are buying. Even in a world of computers having a good mixer in the studio is never a bad thing! I even use the EQs and push signal pretty hard through my Yammy (depending on the sound). And I find myself using it every once in a while. If you've got a few synths you'll be able to do completely out of the box tunes with a mixer and just use your computer to record--I don't usually do productions completely out of the box, but noodling around on some synths and trying to complete a song that way is inspiring.

You might even look into USB mixers even though you still have an audio interface. Again, I said I'd never need and now want ;p
