It's the best system i've ever heard. Absolutely ridiculous weight, yet still crystal clear. It's not just an aural sensation, it physically pounds you and you feel it all over your body. I've seen/felt/heard it a few times, it sounded the best when I went to Skreamizm (Electric Brixton), but I wasn't at Contact, though i'd imagine it to be just as good as Skreamizm as it's the same venue. When I stood near it, it made my eyeballs wobble in their sockets, rattled the bogeys out of my nose and made my pubes vibrate.

though found some of the Valve bass bins on Gumtree for sale about 1 year ago!
For sale? wow!
yeah man. wish i'd kept a link/ screen shot. They had to sell a load of it off after some new noise regulation got passed a few years ago i think, as would never realistically could ever use all 96k of it anywhere.

My memory is pretty hazy/ probably haven't heard the Valve since 05 so its hard to compare with recent systems, but for my money the valve was the best thing i've ever heard, the bassweight actually felt dangerous

RC1 haha should have made myself clear
EDIT: Iration steppas was the first big system i ever experienced and it was great haha. I heard a couple of smaller sound systems (like axis in Huddersfield) but they were still sick but yeh.

Clarity really and 0 distortion at mad levels, the RC1 doesn't 'hurt' if you know what I mean... Can't really put it into words well. Absolutely no disrespect to Iration obvs... heavy system. Just nothing is really comparable to the RC1.

Fair dos sounds gooood. I did find that even my ears which are so plugged up with wax that i cant hear, were bloody pounding after that show, it was slightly harsh maybe or maybe it was just way too loud. I look forward to hearing the RC1 system in action sometime

when you're at a gig you shouldn't get too close to any system, going right up to them is straight up idiotic, though there is a weird appeal to try. If you want to experience the intended result you have to stand in the sweet spot.

but yeah, go see it the first chance you get, i was speechless first time haha. Playing on it again on Saturday too, weeeeee :)

I don't think the RC1 has been used at anywhere near it's capacity either btw, it'd be too dangerous

Erm yeah I was almost certain this was more or less right in the middle of the hall but it was so rammed we just chilled round the sides.

I've only heard Iration Steppas sound once and to be honest it was a bit tinny to my ears, really sharp trebles. The bassweight was unreal though.

Jah shaka runs his sound so nicely, It had such a perfect balance when I saw him at the dome. The system is massive as well, can't imagine how much tuning it took to get it right.

I need to hear RC1 properly, DMZ didn't do it justice.

i think its worth bearing in mind that these systems, whilst operating under a brand, they can also have a massive number of other variables affecting the sound, making it hard to compare, such as whether they brought 100% of it (more often than not some don't), venue shape/size, what engineers on hand/ venue engineers/ limitations etc etc etc. Could be as simple as one guy fucking up the EQing one night that gives someone a bad/ less favourable impression of a system

I was at DMZ. It was nowhere near as loud as it was at Skreamizm

probably because of the different venue's init, car park as opposed to an actual club.

whoever's in charge of the rc1 loves to alter the levels throughout the night too.

That doesn't usually happen, guess it was something with the venue / promoters.
