How do you feel and what do you do when the bass 'drops'?

Hi all,

Please help me by giving your opinion! I am currently conducting some research on crowds at EDM music events and I would be really grateful if anyone could help me out by answering the question posted in the title of this thread. Asking on a forum is hopefully a lot easier than hassling people straight after an event has taken place! Particularly as I am a little shy.

The reason for these particular (perhaps very lame sounding) questions, which I know don't relate to all EDM styles, is that I am interested in musical metaphors that relate to movement and space (up, down, high, low, drop, wave, etc). Your responses will help me to gauge whether others out there feel the same way that I do in terms of music’s affect and how a crowd situation changes body movement (eg. Do you do a certain dance move when the music becomes heavier? Do you 'drop' when the music supposedly does?). I’m not interested in how drugs change this, so whether you take substances at events doesn’t matter.

If you have an interesting festival story that goes along with your answer, I am all ears!

I will be using the information I find here for statistical purposes, and may possibly quote someone’s response in a talk I am giving in about a month’s time, but I certainly will not do that without written permission from that user.

Any help you can give me by answering these questions would be amazing.

Thanks to those who have given semi-serious responses so far :p I know the question sounds dumbed down but that's because I don't want to force certain answers.

However there is plenty of food for thought in how EDM events can lead to sexual harassment in the case of 'getting one's cock out'. Though I am hoping for answers from people interested in attending events for the music, rather than for macho displays.
