Hahaha paying to go to Glasto and camping with all the commoners, how quaint, I can't even imagine paying for entry anymore, stewarding has spoiled me

I've always thought about it as a back up plan, but never had to actually put it into practise. We'll have to make sure we meet up for a smoke and a cider!

I'd be hard pushed to work for £9 an hour in the real world, never mind when I'm effectively on holiday. I'm good thanks.
If you call walking around in a tabard while smoking a joint, having backstage access and camping in the quiet staff field work, honestly stewarding is pish easy and there are plenty of other bonuses besides your entry being paid for

Also, I do work for less than £9 an hour in the real world!
y'see, you make it sound like fun. I remember meeting up with friends last time who were doing it and they were complete and utter wrecks after having to do ridiculous all night shifts or something similar.

Thing is, I know if I had to steward and end up in the carpark during the Stones or some shit.

In slightly related news though, I near enough shat myself at the fees. I swear they weren't as much last time? And £25 for a car parking pass?! (though that one I can totally see why they do it)

Glasto!
To be 100% honest I thought this years was lacking, but then I realized they usually don't release the line up till after the balance week has passed. I know Rustie and Gorgon sound (I think) are missing so there's loads to come.
also the chat about wanting it to be like knotting hill but only having a couple of guys like that gives me hope aswell.

Main dance reads like it was put together by a radio one scrub though.

Still the whole thing is mad as fuck with Arcadia and shanggrila at night!

We better be camping near eachother you lot!

Well I'm going to park on the East side and will most likely aim for Park Ground/South Park to get camped... we'll be there as early as humanly possible on the Wednesday as we'll be staying in Somerset the night before.

Been around The Park every year since it opened - it's not my favourite place lineup wise, but the camping fields are great, it's easily walkable to just about every stage going (well, John Peel is a bit of a trek) and it's not quite as... intense... as camping in the Dance field!!

Got a mate from back home that I need to make sure gets camped with us, but it'd be beautiful to have the Ninjas nearby too.

You can use my tent as the confiscated drug deposit box.

That sounds like an excellent plan, I'm sure I can find some poor gullible glasto virgins who'll believe I have the authority to confiscate drugs lol

you'll have to give us a shout on the wednesday once you're all set up as my lot should be heading down on the tuesday afternoon

I'm hoping the red card I got from Royal Mail yesterday means mine are at the sorting office.

There's a stage in Dance Village called "Gully". :corndance:

Although the lineup for it doesn't actually look terribly gully at all.

Block 9 lineup smashing it AGAIN.

There's actually too much on... I can't quite work out if they've just renamed a few smaller stages or if there's a few more this year. Need an updated map!

I've just got SERIOUSLY excited for the first time this year. Fucking BRING IT!

This is the traditional moment each year when all the people who said they weren't getting tickets because Glastonbury lineups are "weak" all decide that maybe they'll check it out one year after all.

Has Fatboy Slim stopped trying to think of clever names to hide behind at Glastonbury or something? Or is he just going to play Dub Be Good To Me on repeat for an hour?

I'm a bit worried what it's going to clash with, but yeah, yeah I do. We can relentlessly sing Things Can Only Get Better... it'll be HILARIOUS and nobody else will have had the same idea at all.
