whats the easiest way to get to this place from the uk, flight to amsterdam thena train perhaps???

yeah, best fly to amsterdam airport (schiphol) and at schiphol take the direct intercity train to utrecht, which takes about half an hour

should flights to rotterdam or eindhoven work out much cheaper for you, there's fast trains to utrecht from those cities too, but there you'd have to take a bus from airport to inner city first.
