[Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?
I was wondering if any of you knew any good Dimension/Stereo Expanders(Preferably free, but they don't have to be)for mac. I know there are reverb tricks, but I want an actual stereo expander. I have one by Crysonic, but unfortunately it just distorts it too much, but I tried others and they were even worse. Any ideas?
If you don't know one...I could also do with some tips of make sounds sound wider.

I like to use Ozone, but I'm actually not too sure how it compares to others
Re: [Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?
Ozone is fairly good, but it's not enough. Also I tried the one from Xfer. I don't like it. I love xfer and Steve Duda, but I hate that plugin xD

Ozone is hardly free init?
A little birdy told me this one's good: http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewares/stereotool
But just fyi, all these tools use those reverb (mostly delay) tricks of course.

all the plugs mentioned so far ARE good, I've had top results from the Dimension Expander.
I use Logic's Sample Delay most of the time though (doesn't get much simpler than that).

To get an exact dimensional expander. Just very shortdelay with no feedback then invert the phase of the left side.

Not on topic, but BLESS YOU for using bracketed tags on the subject line to ID the general vector [mac] you were asking after.

You're more than welcome xD I figured I would get better results!
Re: [Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?
Thanks for all the info guys. I know ozone fairly well, but still can't get what I am looking for.
I am going through some of the plugins you guys mentioned!

Re: [Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?
Logic sample delay. Just offset one side a few milliseconds off.
Re: [Mac]Know Any GOOD Dimension Expanders?
Bounce the audio, duplicate it, pan one channel all the way to the left and invert phase, pan another channel all the way to the right. Zoom in and push the right panned audio clip a few ms foward. You can also choose to leave another channel in the middle untouched and just layer the sounds or even use a real time pitch tool like nectar or autotune on one of the channels going really slow to get more of a chorus effect. Same thing can be done with dry plate reverbs, in fact, I think those will sound way more like Massive's dimension expander.
