I like Royal-T too, some grime is heading towards that brostep meets grime.. just pure mess. Its cause tunes are being built for dancefloor tear outs w/ no mc present instead of being built for people to MC over. I'm sure I heard a recent set with Skepta on and he was quiet for quite a bit cause it was just noise.

Agree though too many producers are over friendly, thats why I like what the Young Echo guys are doing.. the Gorgon Sound vs Ishan Sound was brilliant. Always a good laugh when they jokingly send for each other and stuff on there too.

Haha, if grime producers start using brostep sounds, it'll quickly become the ugliest fucking music ever. It'll become "breaks" and that genre is a fackin shithole.

OMG that's the first time I've listened properly to the James Blake remix. WTF. Not a nice experience!

Let me ask how many of you heard that played for one of the first times at DMZ 6th Birthday? Probably none of you. Who's been blessed with hearing it live whilst it was not even considered that one day it would see the light of day? It was a tune Mala played to special crowds. Shit it was so rare a decent recording of the tune wasn't heard online for 2 years.. I heard it for the 2nd time 2 years later in LA when DMZ played in a smoke filled room to a vibing crowd inside a club that went way past the its closing time restrictions.

The tune is seriously abstract. Just one you stood and listen to and appreciate. The crowd could of been going side to side to Goblin then when this was played it just stopped the dance in motion. Maybe because of it's almost infamous existence it was just such a treat to hear, its like a shining light through all that gloomy, moody, deep dark vibrations that were be played for the rest of the night.

The biggest shame about this tune was that it saw a release

Just because you have great memories related to the tune doesn't mean it's objectively good.

just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it's bad either.

It's "Preditah". Also, link to what you're talking about? Preditah's tunes have the odd wobble but there's nothing like those Trolley Snatcha or Royal-T things people posted

lol chill out mate, your not preditah are you? dont get ur feelings caught

The tune I posted was a filthy vicars remix of a trolley snatcha track and is a complete banger. i was making the point that harder tracks aren't necessarily crap.
