How is electricity sold? I don't get it, stuff on breakfast news saying about people being unable to get the best deal.

It comes from the same factories, through the same cables. So why the fuck do we have several companies selling electricity with several tariffs each? You don't get to choose your water supplier and it's kinda the same principle.
