Derocc - Raton Rapido(Brostep/Grime)

Post by Derocc » Wed May 29, 2013 11:39 pm

Hey everyone, I just finished this track. Its a dirty brostep track with some dark stuff in the verses. Any Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Kick/snare are both sounding a little quiet and getting lost under the midrange, could do with being brought up a bit. Liking the arrangement of the synth noises, feels like they've got some call and response going on. Beat switches up nicely as well, nothing too static so it's got a bit of variation on it. Felt like the rising chords that come in around 2m05s could've developed into something more in the latter half of the tune after the drop.

Thanks Wub! I defintely should have spent more time composing a secondary drop or just something new to add in around 2:05. not quite hearing what you mean by the kick and snare getting lost in the midrange. What do you use for monitors? Youve mentioned the midrange drum interference on other tracks ive posted here and I think our speakers are quite different in terms of their frequency responses

Absolutly fantastic ideas in this track :3
I dont feel like the bass is coming through as much as it could though and the basses and leads are crushing the drums
Really like what youve done though

This isn't grime, grime doesn't mean grimy/dirty/filthy sounding stuff, grime is a whole different genre...
