So I'm.writing because I've experienced the degrading feeling I get from.those with large egos.
Perhaps minorly hypocritical however I would like to say I don't brag about how good I am or how awesome my music is... I'm generally humble if not embarrassed by fan reactions. I recognize at this point I am only a dj mixing other people's music and that I have a long way to go and can always use improvement.
I have stood up for my own hard work.to get to where I am which can come across as entitled and pushy and hence shows my Ego. However I feel if I hadn't stood up for myself I would have never advanced. There are some ppl that will try to hold you back for many reasons one of them jealousy.

What I'm more concerned and perhaps I should pay no attention but it makes me laugh when a mediocre dj express in public how awesome they are and how much they deserve attention for being such a,sick dj... when in fact they are really nothing special.
You don't have an edge bra ur a dime a dozen.
At least I'm a girl pleasing to look at get dressed up.in costume practice my.mixing for days to make it sound good.
Then you get some, enter douchey entertainment company here, dj that goes around putting other ppl down and over promising under delivering who don't advance or go anywhere have the biggest egos of all?
Confidence and pride have been mistaken as ego.
I saw a post from my EX about how he's so freaking great at djing and he's been doing it for so long that he's giving up asking for shows because every promoter knows who He is so they should just come to him now.... I got news for you bro... ur a hurtin unit and even your best friends are sick.of your over inflated ego. Lol
I'm proud of how far I've come and put in ooodles of time and money into this.
I'm sick of the egos of our peers walking all over everyone else to get ahead.
What I.think.it is is lack of self-esteem right? I dont kno what the deal is but I'm not making ridiculous claims about myself like im Kelownas #1 DJ and I deserve your respect because I've helped you throw a show before.
Hahaha this guy I'm talking about is going to be a director of one of local festivals and I could spit milk from.my nose it was such a shock to find out that these guys that can barely organize themselves let alone a party are getting an opportunity that so many other ppl deserve. And for what? Because their egos are bigger than the moon? They puff themselves up to make themselves look good or attack those that are doing good?
And the ppl.that keep asking me for my promoter and club contacts so I can help.them.get shows.... this has backfired so many times now I'm going to just stop recommending djs to promoters and giving up.my hard earned network of ppl I've procured relationships with just to pass out my list to Joe blow who swoops in and back stabs me.
I'm all about sharing and caring and helping others out but it's not worth it anymore. I'm not going out of my way to help.you unless you help.me first or unless I trust you as a friend.
But yea anyways. It's ego season and I'm hunting.
