Currently using a Samsung rv515 4gb , dual core , laptop .
Have came to the point in my producing where using 9 massives in different channels is causing major glitches and clearly am not being able to further my production ..
Upgrades are not really going to take it to where I need so curious if another laptop with higher specs is the way to go or build a pc ?
Also interested in what you guys are currently using yourselfs maybe to push me in the right direction

Is portability very important to you? Get a laptop. If not then get a desktop

I use both personally. I have my main PC which is a quad core (can't remember the speed) with 16gb ram and 7tb hdd space, and my laptop which is a 2.9 i5, 16gb ram, 1tb HDD for when I'm out and about. All my projects are synced through dropbox and I have the same vsts in the same directory. This does the job for me.
It's all down to whether you need portability or not. Obviously a pc is a better choice because you can build a higher spec relatively cheap and you have the option of upgrading later down the line.

There's no 'point' where producers get to using too many instances of something.
But yeah, bounce down.
