Spoke to Chef after he said it was a Kromestar & Cessman remix of Anti War that they made around the same time as Krome made Kalawanji.

Was large, Chef brought enough oldies & VIVEK was sick. Reflections>>

3 stacks too :D

Was louuud.
Maybe It was because I was tried as fuck but man there was an abundance of "space invaders" there last night.
So so sooo many times I had a nice bit of space to breath then some fucking lumbering sweaty jawgrinder would shoulder check me then stand so my nose was against his back or a group would bumrush the right stack and create some kind of circle of monkeys dance, driving everyone else back to the wall.
Kind of ruined the vibe for me but thats a personal thing and I guess its just reached that tipping point of under the radar to fully known.

I think vivek kind of lost the plot after 3, pull ups that nobody called for and it was like starig into the abyss for awhile, just darker and darker to the point i was praying for some tearout to take me out of the sleep deprived state I was in.

Positives were Poison dart breaking the system which gave me a good laugh, It was weighty as, chefs set was sweet (kromestar remix was a tune) and Vivek did have a few nice VIps.

The next one Id love to see Pinch and Kahn, they should have some B2B sets, thats what I would say id miss from it is having some proper variation of sets.
Hell just get 4 or 5 guys and just go B2B2B2B or something.
Still, enjoyed it overall.

Shoulda come left stack Lenham, right stack was getting a bit crowded & that new fence position was long. Loads of space & generally more weight leftside i reckon.

Had to back out after Mantra so missed Poison Dart etc but was good to see ninjas. Out to the huge dreadlocked guy who manhandled me infront of the back rig in Wayfarer - Reflections
Clifford was hilarity near the end of the roots set: "COME AGAIN MY SELECTOR"

Haha, remember that. Him and Magma were loving it.

Overall, good night.. Agree on the point about Viveks set, he pulled up some of the most boring tunes I've ever heard (IMO) and it really sapped the energy from everyone.

Highlight for me was definitely Chef.. seriously good selection of old tunes.

Marcus were you the guy who kinda bobs his head double time? :corndance: Think I saw you 8)

I didnt even leave for some fresh air (probably a mistake) . I dont really move around, maybe we should migrate to the left stack for a change.
Clifford was basically shouting into the void of sound which I thought was hilarious.

Probably one of Chef's best sets I've ever heard. Excellent from start to finish.

The Anti War Dub remix alone was worth the price of the ticket.

Vivek's set was great until the last 20 minutes or so where it just dragged on a bit and got a bit mind numbing. Would've preferred the more usual lights-on-hype business.

Not enough ninjas to consistently maintain a good presence around the right stack this time.

Bar closing half an hour before the end on such a warm sweaty night was not ideal. Really could've done with some water at the end.

Yeah, I naturally do it without even thinking all the time.

Aye, was annoying as hell, they would just randomly push their way through trying to make space end up leaving then doing the same thing all night. It didn't even look like some of the people were feeling the music at all really (unless they were hiding it well) and could have easily made room for more people to move around right by the stack. I will never understand these people at all.

Would love to see something like this to mix the night up a bit, B2Bs seem to bring out the best in a lot of people since it keeps them on their toes and want to have the better selection.
I really hope they can get that back stack pumping some extra weight next time, it looked much meaner than the other two.

decent night. got there late due to some aggro but caught jay-5's set (that tune he opened up with was murderous, the one after those two non-140/intro bits) but chefal's set really was the one, gunfingers galore.

i'd be lying if i said that was the most enjoyable system though, don't think the four month break helped things. 4/5 dj b2b's aren't the answer imo as you can tell those kind of set would have no momentum mixing wise. just get whoever has the most dubs to play. that or someone spinning beats that make ppl inside move. last night aside, i'm glad there's one in august doe coz big up system, still the best dance this sound has to offer nowadays. the dome >>>

Yeah, it's odd, almost like they forgot about it completely. I don't recall ever hearing it played out ever. Not that my memory of tunes being played out is particularly great. But still, I think I'd remember this one.
