Firewall Paradox - The Dark Lord (Dubstep)

Post by Firewall Paradox » Tue Jul 02, 2013 9:33 pm

HEEELLOOOOOOOOO

So I made this song, and I'm really happy with most of it, but I feel like the vocals at the second drop and the synth after the first drop could use some improvement. I used Image-line's Vocodex for the vocals, and Massive for the synths.

I appreciate any and all feedback!

I don't want to be that guy, but it sounds like a load of random sounds. Rhythmically for the drums you have pretty much used the same pattern over the entire track. The track sounds a little dry and empty.

Don't worry about it, I appreciate the honesty. Do you have any suggestions for how I could improve it? Mostly on making it sound less dry and empty, since I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that.

Use reverb's and delays, preferably using sends that way you can control the amount of the signal getting processed. This will add more depth to the sound and eliminates the dryness. Also listen to other artists to see how they implement different drum patterns. Also watch and read up on tutorials on whatever synth you use for your production to develop your sounds. To fill the high end of spectrum you could use pads, whitenoise, etc depends what your going for.
