I wasn't going to post this but the Kids pic has been quoted too many times not to
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
its just a perfect illustration of how the winning side writes history. And then it just keeps going, getting more and more surreal the longer it goes. It actually reminded me a bit of synedoche new york strangely except its all real. Hits way harder than any documentaries of this type where the victim is the focus.cloquet wrote:Yeah, it's meant to be phenomenal. I stumbled across the trailer late last year and I've wanted to see it ever since, hopefully it sees a dvd release.hutyluty wrote:

supposed to be extraodinary and incredibly depressing
but yeah, you should all go see this.

The last two movies I've watched were kids films :/
Despicable Me - decent.
Monsters U - amazing, loved it.
Oh, and re: Place Beyond The Pines - because that was the last post I made in this thread... Gosling is not just a pretty face with a killer bod (
)... the baptism scene where he cries is all him, that wasn't scripted. And to me, that was the most affecting scene in the film.

World War Z
So first of the summer sci-fi (ish) blockbusters. Some cool scenes (the aeroplane scene in particular) but generally hastily put together with too much emphasis on 'impressive' graphics and lacking in substance.
Overall, disappointing but I guess that's no real surprise. Good to watch with a bag of popcorn if you've got nothing else to do, but nothing more.

How cool would it be if uncle phil came and helped out Will and his son Carlton on that planet?
Im hoping that's the case and that you become a scientololligist after watching it.
Has anyone seen it?

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
finally got round to watching Tree of Life. Not bad at all imo, over-dramatic ending and some of the hushed questions were unnecessary, but it was really well done overall. The sequence of creation at the start was just amazing

this is the end, funniest movie

Trance
Thoroughly enjoyed this film, kept me glued to the screen the whole time.
Also, full frontal Rosario Dawson? Give me some more of that.

nothing special but quite entertaining.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Been debating on whether to go see that, think ima do it today.
Just saw White House Down
The action was way over the top, but ppl may like it idk I dont watch many action flicks. It was all pretty bizarre. Sorta enjoyed it tho, a decent thriller plus it's pretty funny if you're a liberal/progressive.
