Re: Ghosts
Pretty sure there's been a thread on this before.
Learn how to astral travel - see various kinds of spirits and entities.
drink aya, see more spirits -
http://www.ayahuascacommunity.com/visionary-art/

like someone said though, not really something easily quantifiable. all you have to go on is striking similarities and reoccurring accounts from different people.

Re: Ghosts
What do black ghosts look like?
What do fat ghosts look like?
What do insect ghosts look like?
Why are ghosts so elusive considering how many years life has existed?
What is their mass?
How are they storing residual memory?

^ Natural standpoint to take. Especially for someone having not experienced their presence.
Worth reading peoples accounts of astral traveling/projection and also experiences when connecting to spirits related to ayawaska.
Default perception is that these are hallucinations at best and just a projected aspect of the person's psyche, but i find it interesting when different cultures approaches and accounts of the paranormal and parapsychology kind of cross over. Same go's for the variations and similarities you find when comparing those who have had near death and out of body experiences....many similarities but often decorated and influenced by the cultural background of the person.
Even Carl Jung started to wonder if his experiences could be pigeon holed in to his own veiws of the soul or if he was experiencing genuine apparitions of beings outside of his own self.
It's not black and white anyway and for now it's virtually impossible to provide conclusive evidence for or against.

Re: Ghosts
That's why we use logic and case-based reasoning and until new evidence is presented that stands up to all manner of scrutiny, it is ruled out. You can take an non-existential* view of anything but it doesn't make it any more real.d-T-r wrote:It's not black and white anyway and for now it's virtually impossible to provide conclusive evidence for or against.

Re: Ghosts
That's because we share the same brain structures with all it's functions and flaws, that can also be said for how we make out faces in all manner of abstract shapes or fall for the same illusions and we all have a common cultural ancestry where through the ages, fears and beliefs were passed on.d-T-r wrote:but i find it interesting when different cultures approaches and accounts of the paranormal and parapsychology kind of cross over. Been in too many of these discussions in the past to want to bother to try and 'argue' my case anymore. always too one sided which is understandable but doesn't make it very fun. There's a lot more to it than what mason and Pedro have responded with however.
But yeah, i stand by what i say and what i personally experience....beyond that i don't care enough to respond any more and in all honesty it's generally not that important anyway.
