Who would've thought it?! People talking about big name dubstep tunes on a forum dedicated to dubstep. There's only one person here that needs to get over themselves, and it's the sideman who goes into a topic he supposedly has no interest in just to shit on an idea before it's even started.

People ploughed enough money into the Lo Dubs kick starter to get at least two albums put out, so it's not that much of a reach to get people to finance this if somebody could put something together.

Either way, I'm sure you'll find more ways to slag people having a conversation about something that MIGHT happen (nothing happens if you don't ever TRY) once I've posted this. Arsehole.

I honestly don't understand what your problem is dude? The thread is about seeing if anybody has the resources to ask a certain group of producers if there's anyway they would want to put out any tunes. This is just crowd-sourcing what a label would do anyway.

If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, we've lost nothing but the time spent creating a thread on a forum. If the ball gets rolling, and something does happen, then it's a success.

My friend's dad is Micky Finn, and he has a lot of connections, but it's mostly bro-producers so I doubt we could get any real contacts to the producer's we're on about. He does know Benga though, but he's too busy making brostep now.

unreleased tunes =/= lost dubs producers don't want to release

this isn't an i want midnight/woman/jah power etc + the following u dont get dubplate culture shitstorm thread. it was just a random idea that someone else thought it was worth, at least, discussing. yeah, it would be cool if it were to ever materialize, and like others said, it's a longshot, obviously, but some people could probably get in touch with that group of producers.

Plus it aint even really that producers don't wanna release certain beats, sometimes theres problems with labels and nothing comes about.. or producers end up releasing stuff themselves (which is time consuming & costly) or the most popular.. free download.

So yeah, idea has potential, definitely target tunes from the forgotten dubs thread. Some old ramadanman bits or something.
