K-pop tubmlr fandom girls...there's one in my class, she's nice and all, but she spams facebook with her comments on the politics in the K-pop fandom world, k-pop in-jokes etc which NOBODY comments on or gets. She even does it in our class' facebook group. Leave that shit for twitter.

Used to go to 'hardcore' [nope, you werent] shows when I was 14/15 in the home counties. Proper posh kids acting like thugs; used to be a band there called 'My Demise,' who were utter shite, and later turned to dubstep funnily enough.

Saw Enter Shikari there before they were big. Come their popularity I was always told, 'You have to see them live!' To whit I replied that I had. 'In a small venue!' Yes, I have. 'They make human pyramids!' At which point in the conversation I understood exactly why I'd never be an Enter Shikari fan.

I didn't really have any problems with people in londonds hardcore scene when I was more involved with it tbh, obvs theres a few dickheads but you get that everywhere really, I've always had more problems with metalheads, hardcore kids didnt care that I was into metal but metalheads used to give me shit all the time for liking hardcore

And if ur complaining about hardcore dancing at hardcore shows then maybe its just not the scene for you

lol when i was more affiliated with the local hardcore scene (ie. going to gigs and hanging out with bands) i hated the whole image thing related to it. i mean at times it almost seemed like some people were going to the gigs just to show off their dance moves, tattoos or clothes.. they were actually there to see the crowd rather than the band. there was someone who was buying band tees like integrity etc without actually being a fan but just for the street cred

one thing that also grinds my gears is psytrance hippies but it's complicated because there's more to that than the music

Again I think a lot of that is just reflective of local scenes rather than hardcore as a whole, in London there weren't so many 'fashionXcore' kids around, or at least they rarely came to shows and werent really taken seriously by anybody else except themselves

I'd say folk music has got to have the most pretentious pricks in the scene hands down.
Playing BS acoustic guitar music, fokol talent, F-ing Redemption song rip-offs, etc.

And the crowds think they're the best thing since sliced bread.
