Recommend some genuinely terrifying horror films?

Post by overture » Tue Jul 09, 2013 3:44 pm

I've been looking a for a really good, horror film but every time I watch something that is supposedly terrifying I'm always left underwhelmed. Does anyone here have any real suggestions, something that is really fucked up and will keep me up at night? haha

Cheers :Y:

Id say check out some David Lynch films.

I saw Inland Empire for the first time recently, ppl either love it or hate it.

I liked it.

it's if you really think about it and look into the background of it that it gets scary...I never get scared by anything new...I can see how kill list could freak people out but I ust assumed what happens in it was reality in the first place

was coming in to say this - as good as any recent horror gets IMO. Proper sense of dread.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I've already seen a couple of the ones mentioned and they are definitely good shouts! I'm gonna go and read up all of these, keep them coming. :D

i thought the situation in the film was terrifying.. if u disagree though, fair enough. a mate at work saw it and fell asleep he said, so each to their own.
