GERABY - Trees (Woods VIP) [dubstep/bass]

Post by camazan » Wed Jul 10, 2013 7:20 am

Soundcloud

Hello, this song is actually not by me but it's made by a friend of mine, called gerAby. it's the VIP of an older song, that sounds slightly better than the original :)

It was made with Fl studio, ableton live and a Novation keyboard (which I can not remember the type of keyboard :) )

I hope you guys will like it and if you don't like it, please give some feedback (even though you like it, all feedback is appreciated)

greetings,
Camazan

Hmm interesting. Sounds like a funk vibe going on.

That main melody does get a bit repetitive after a while. The snare is a little dry and not particularly punchy. There is a lot going on in the tune and sounds a bit chaotic and formless. Maybe shift some of those synths to lower frequencies through EQ.

Anyway nice effort. It's still an interesting listen.

THe tune could do with better mixing, I like the celtic sample, but after some time it gets a bit too repetitive. High freq synth before the drop is way to loud. After the mix again, better mixing could do a lot to the tune. Chord prog and overall melody is good, but a bit too repetitive after some time too. Perc work is nice

the mixing is off u can tell frequencies are clashing but i like the vibe of the body. that being said i think the intro needs some work
