Whats the point in buyin a comp that comes with an OS you wont even use?

Are you stuuuuuuuuuuuuupid?
No. I was just pointing out that some people seem to think running windows games/software is something a "PC" Laptop has over a Mac. Which isn't true.

Good for you. You'll find a lot of Mac hating to be weird outdated, outmoded thinking and fearfulness coupled with old stigmas from the old OS 9, etc.

IT people seem to be the main offenders, but it's easier to understand when you realise that their livelihood is based on Windows not working properly, or at least intuitively. ;)

All you need to do on OS X is repair your permissions from time to time, don't install any dodgy fonts and always have a couple of emergency admin accounts to log into should the main account go down. I say that, but I've never had that happen in 6 or so years. I've hardly had to reboot. I think that's about it.

oh god...that kid had his shit crash about 4 times at this point in the past few months. shit sucks. i dont know what the deal is at all....its done for though all the way. it was def getting old. and he def got use out of it. but still....not fun when computers crash regardless if theyre macs OR pcs. i talked him into getting a pc though this time...so that way if it crashes again, at least he only spent half the cash on it. pcs work just fine. its not like you need to get a mac unless youre obsessed with the brand itself and company OR youre a nerd. OR you believe the hype that pcs suck all the way and macs are the way to go.

just my thoughts on it.

but yes. he is out of a laptop yet again. and this time for good :(
