Nah man! Hella fat people don't do anything about it.

Like I said, if you're gonna dip into the "lifestyle choice" pool, a lot of people are gonna get fucked over.

Does a fat person that has (presumably) bought more food (and thus paid more VAT) and paid more national insurance deserve less treatment than somebody who hasn't and is thin? Endless questions would come out of this.

There are more angles to this than "You are fat = no treatment"

i dont know how defence lawyers could live with themselves defending somoeone like that...

After years of my dad being (sort of) like that, like trying diets here and there, but never really sticking at anything, I sat down with him and just told him to fucking do it or don't, no longer talk about it, just do something.

He started some program where you eat normal calories one day, then the next limit yourself to a low amount (based on height, weight, activity, etc.) which for him was something like 600 calories. This combined with hitting the gym hard mean he's lost over 6 stone in like, 5 months. Only a couple of stone heavier than I am now, some amazing program. :o

Regarding the cigarette thing, there are plenty of smokers out there that "wish they could give up". One of my mates at work quits smoking at the drop of a hat. Like, he'll go out, start smoking again, a month later he'll just quit and be fine.

I would be hard pressed to lay the 'blame' for being obese at the people in question's pudgy canckled feet.

Advertising, Food production standards and perhaps most importantly, the availablity of so many food types to people have got to shoulder some of the blame. The myriad of psychological pressures, preying on those susceptible to addictions and miseducation allowed by our government (fucking COCA COLA AND MCDONALDS BEING APPROVED AND OFFICIAL SPONSORS OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES FFS) have got to be contributing factors.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

I think smoking actually causes a profit...

A smoker of 20 a day over 35 years will pay about £60,000 duty on smokes (that's without taking into consideration future rises in duty or treatment costs, but I'd imagine they will go up, and down respectively). And lung cancer treatment costs roughly £25-35,000.

They also likely won't receive a state pension, or care.

I'm not condoning it btw

At what stage do you class someone has fat?
DRTY wrote:I think smoking actually causes a profit...
Yes you are correct, they get a large sum of money out of it otherwise they would have no real incentive to sell it at the current price. Plus bringing shorter life expectancy into the factor meaning the government has to pay out less.

Got some second hand vinyls through today and the covers are stained and flithy, quite a few light scratches and some pops and crackles on the vinyls.. not that bothered because of the price but they had the cheek of putting everything as Mint. If I could be arsed to send them back I would.. these are probably the worst quality second hand vinyls I've ever got and they're one of the few that have been brought as Mint.
