You'd figure with how "it's reinventing electronic music" and hyped as pretty much the best electronic album in ages and he saviors of dance music it would have lasted more than a couple months.Genevieve wrote:That's normal these days isn't it? Re: Daft Punk are average
it's probably because it's only got about four good tracks and the rest is just kind of bland.

Re: Daft Punk are average
Giorgio by Moroder is well disappointing. It's really cheesy. I actually like the more radio friendly ones on it the most. Like the Pharell ones and the one with Panda Bear.

Getzatrhythm
						Re: Daft Punk are average
I think the concept of the album and the story behind it is great, but I agree some parts are cheesy af, but I thought that was just my inexperienced ears not used to that 70s-80s sound they're going for. I still like it though, it's mastered just perfectly, all the instruments sound crisp as fuck.
Plus, who can't enjoy the Daft Punk Vocoder?? The robots sound STELLAR on this album

Re: Daft Punk are average
There's just so many other things out there for me to be listening, I really have no desire to spend some of my time listening to this. But yeah shit thread, we literally just had this discussion like a month ago ffs.

I feel like the only good thing about the new album was 'Doin' it Right', but that's largely because of my feelings for Panda Bear and Animal Collective in general.

How? I mean really how? It's a well written well produced pop song with Nile Rodgers playing guitar on it.

Re: Daft Punk are average
Get lucky is decent, and doesn't sound the same as all the other shit on the radio so that's an instant +1 from me. But it's not amazing like people go on either. But like somebody said before I got better stuff to be listening to.
