I got a couple albums by them. Think most of their music is pretty boring overall though.

I hate wonderwall with an intense passion. It is fucking awful and is a sign that the nights gone wrong when some prick gets a guitar out and decides to have everyone do a sing a long to it.

Shit NIN has some of the best sound design, production, and songs in the game.

While I dig a lot of the bands mentioned in here, like I said NIN tops it for me.
Can't think of any other groups who released so many consistently awesome albums and tunes over the years.
Most just have a small catalog of good tunes and one or two really good albums.

The Chili Peppers began to suck in the '90's IMO. Their best albums were from the '80's culminating with Uplift Mofo Party Plan. Mother's Milk was pretty good right when john frusciante joined, that was like 88 or 89 or something, but that was because he didn't try to change their previous style. After that it was down hill.

I noticed that a lot of bands mentioned here were fairly well established in the '80's, but perhaps they did not become well known until the '90's.

I couldn't agree more, if that happens I take it as my cue to cut my losses and just go home
