The kid's over the top swearing every time you kill anything particularly irritates me

I mean it can't decide if it wants to be a stealth game or cover shooter. It plays a bit like it wants to be Splinter Cell Conviction without putting all the effort in.DRTY wrote:You didn't really make a point? The graphics are actually decent, albeit prerendered lighting, and the story is cool, but yea the whole gameplay aspect is severely lacking.
I mean it was forgivable with The Walking Dead since it's just a modern point and click game, but how is everyone overlooking this?
Prerendered lighting however, doesn't affect how much I enjoy a game
It's doing the same as a lot of games, but not particularly excelling at it.
Like I said I think it's the story and graphics that are carrying the title.
RE: prerendered lighting, I just found that funny with how graphically impressive it's supposed to be as it's a trick that consoles have to use to save resources.
Re: What game are you playing?
You do realize that, until Crysis prerendered lighting was the standard (and even then most 7th Gen games still didn't do it.) Doom 3 tried it in 2004 but then again considering Doom 3 is "I Can't See Shit: The Game" it seems like a damn good idea to hold off from full real-time pipelines until now.deadly habit wrote:RE: prerendered lighting, I just found that funny with how graphically impressive it's supposed to be as it's a trick that consoles have to use to save resources.

And it's dated engine tech now, but then again so are consoles, and damn TLoU pushed the PS3 to it's limits.FatScout wrote:You do realize that, until Crysis prerendered lighting was the standard (and even then most 7th Gen games still didn't do it.) And you should also note that one of the major complaints of Doom 3 BFG edition was they went to prerendered lighting.

Started playing XCom last night. Shit is hard! Really entertaining though, I expect I'm going to spend a lot of hours on this game.
I also have The Witcher 2 enhanced edition for 360 lying around, my mate played it for a few hours while he was here and it seemed cool. Just couldn't really get into it the first time around, but I might have to give it another go at some point.

yeah I've had witcher 1 + 2 sitting in my library for a while now but never got around to playing them, it's meant to be worth it though.
