@Garethom: Arcade Fire too yeah, quite possibly one of the best bands of the 00s, not even listened to their latest album either, the first two did it for me.

I put off listening to it for a while (3rd album?! Obviously gonna be shit!) but it's possibly my favourite Arcade Fire album.

Funeral = Best for bangers
Neon Bible = The unappreciated younger brother
The Suburbs = Best as an entire album.

They've got a new album coming out in September too.

Good shout on Arcade Fire. Not an especially big fan of guitar music, but some of their stuff is pretty spot on. Big fan of this performance from 2005;

Arcade Fire & David Bowie - Wake Up @ Fashion Rocks 2005

Also want to throw Flaming Lips into the ring as well. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots is a fucking quality album IMO.

I liked Incubus alot, they went down hill after Morning View though.
Thrice had a good couple of albums..

I cant think of anyothers to save my life, I know I listened to alot of shit I found via Myspace. During that time I was into older stuff like AC/DC, GNR,Neil young, Dylan, Slayer (lol.) and all other random stuff and Ive never really listend to the radio past about the age of 13.

Edit: now on some mad youtube nostalgia trip. Got to not pull a soriee and post a million links

no idea if anyone heard of these guys but I imported their CD from the Uk from them directly I think it was.
