In Rainbows is probably my least favourite of theirs but that's probably because it's the album of theirs I'm least familiar with

I love in Rainbows.
But I've been listening to RadioHead from the beginning.
In Rainbows is easily one of my favorites.

In Rainbows is one of my faves too.

Nothing tops Kid A. Listening to Darkstar - North the other day made me think how much they must've rinsed Kid A.

Kid A just beats Amnesiac due to idioteque being a masterpiece, but i'm happy with any of their albums after the first two

Meh Radiohead. I used to really like them but I just got bored of them. They're not bad, I just 'heard' them and they haven't released an all together solid ALBUM after 'Amnesiac' (their best).

Bark Psychosis, My Bloody Valentine, Brainiac, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Landing all executed some of the ideas they attempted better than they did.

They can write a mean tune, but I don't think they have much staying power.

Kid A
Ok Computer
In Rainbows
Amnesiac
I Might Be Wrong
The Bends
Hail To The Thief
King Of limbs
Pablo Honey

IMO

HTTT would probably be at the bottom of the list if it wasn't for 'There There'

I don't think they have much staying power.
Staying power (not in an artistic sence) comes from borrowing/stealing/interpreting ideas from other bands. Radiohead has that down.

Staying power comes from staying interesting over a prolonged period of time, whatever their means of doing that are. People can borrow ideas from others poorly or do it well.

Exactly and thats why radiohead is a such a bad example.
Bands with three succefull albums is about as much staying power you can expect, and even moreso today.
Other than that I completely aggree.
People can borrow ideas from others poorly or do it well.
Yeah, my point is you wont find succesfull bands with more than three records where they haven't borrowed a lot or used the spotlight of some new 'movement' they weren't directly a part of.

I wouldn't say the Bends is crap, just much more generic soft rock music than what they made afterwards

Pablo honey was crap
