He's right. I don't deserve friends. I deserve to be locked in a room filled with Ben Sherman, Lynx Africa and people who thought The Thrills were "a bit too challenging".

pj harvey peaked in '95 to me..but she's someone to see live for sure, she's beyond the studio sound

and also.. urban hymns by the verve is a fucking masterpiece. you guys need to get on that shit, they're so underrated

1,707,818 listeners on Last.fm puts them well outside of 'so underrated'.

They were just another one of those 'The....' britpop bands of the 90s to me, I might bother to listen to some though...maybe.

The Verve, another Manc band. I see a pattern here.

I will accept absolutely no dissing of Last.fm, practically the only consistently brilliant, free website.

would it bother any of you to know that I was the guy who stole Ian Curtis's tomb stone?
or would you just be glad for my neckrophiliac-ass, which reminds me of a long lost love to which we've seen darker days.

If I wrote an Oasis song it would be called

"You Know"

and it would go...

Ohhhhh Ohhhhh

you know
that's just the way it goes
when the river flows
and your smile shows

Ohhhhh Ohhhhh

you know
we've got no where to go
let's just take it slow
I really want you to know

Ohhhh Oh Oh Oh
OHHHHHHHHHH

let me see the sun
you know we've just begun
and this world we both belong
NOW I KNOW WE CAN GET ALONG x4

Ohhhhhh Ohhhhhh

par  par  par  par

and after all your my wonder why those guys had an all time record...
thanx DAFT PUNK... ZINGY POST!

Nothing wrong with it but it must be the second most overplayed tune of all time (after mad world)

I still like a lot of the first two albums though I'm not sure I've actually played any of them in at least a decade... probably just that I had ridiculously good times around a lot of that music as a teenager, but yeah, these guys are all joyless cunts.

The Verve were much better though; well that first album definitely. Richard Ashcroft seems like a bit of a dick but he could write chart-topping urban-decay anthems like noone else for a couple of years.

The best band of the 90s was Dillinger escape plan. Oasis is the shittiest thing I have ever heard in my life
