True, but copying can be a great way of learning too, when you know how to create one sound, you can use that knowledge together with everything else you know and make your own new sounds out of it. Once everyone on here has understood the basics of how to make a growl sound, a new world of possible combinations will open up to them.PhotonOfficial wrote:
I feel like we all need to stop trying to recreate growls, and instead come up with our own style. Fair enough, trying to recreate certain growls can be educational and useful, but despite people saying that they aren't going to use the sound because it has already been done before, they still do use it. I've seen countless xKore wannabes trying to make commercial music using pretty much exactly the same sounds as xKore himself and I admit, I am impressed with the similarity. However, the creativity of the music is lost because the artist is trying too hard to be like someone else. Who is going to be the next person to come up with a sound that nobody has heard before? A new sound?
Sorry about the random rant lol
If they've all spent time learning synthesis and how to create other sounds than just growls, that is.
