This random person sent me a track and Soundcloud and it's actually not total shit. In fact, its kinda pretty freaking amazing. Soundcloud
The most intriguing thing about it; the producer is a woman, she's a multi-instrumentalist, and is possibly in her 40's.
I have no idea why I can't get my head around it. It's a not even a big deal.
But old people make electronic music? Old women? Since when? O_o

Re: Post Your Random Thoughts Thread!
This does not get taught in local history classes.
It really should be though.
The Herero and Namaqua Genocide is considered to have been the first genocide of the 20th century. It took place between 1904 and 1907 in German South-West Africa (modern day Namibia), during the Herero Wars.
On 12 January 1904, the Herero people, led by Samuel Maharero, rebelled against German colonial rule. In August, German general Lothar von Trotha defeated the Herero in the Battle of Waterberg and drove them into the desert of Omaheke, where most of them died of thirst. In October, the Nama people also rebelled against the Germans only to suffer a similar fate.
In total, from 24,000 up to 100,000 Herero and 10,000 Nama died.
The genocide was characterised by widespread death by starvation and thirst because the Herero who fled the violence were prevented from returning from the Namib Desert. Some sources also claim that the German colonial army systematically poisoned desert wells.
In 1985, the United Nations' Whitaker Report classified the aftermath as an attempt to exterminate the Herero and Nama peoples of South-West Africa, and therefore one of the earliest attempts at genocide in the 20th century. The German government recognised and apologised for the events in 2004, but has ruled out financial compensation for the victims' descendants.

Are you really surprised that a 40-something is active in a genre that's been around for 35 years? Are you a bit soft in the head?Soul Of Seun wrote:This random person sent me a track and Soundcloud and it's actually not total shit. In fact, its kinda pretty freaking amazing. Soundcloud

I actually quite like that. If it wasn't repping the most bland stale music movement this decade, I'd probably rock that.Marcus wrote:Image for youkidshuffle wrote:bad link^
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

don't let the music get to you, just buy it if you like it.

Should I wear a KKK hood because I find it aesthetically pleasing, despite disagreeing with their beliefs?Shum wrote:don't let the music get to you, just buy it if you like it.
Art = 'something + context'. The context of the cap ruins the thing.
