Never said appalled. I love farting, it both sounds and smells great IMO.

That's still no reason to do it in front of the woman I love, however.

...what else do people deem important to hide from the people that, in theory, love them for better or worse?

Would you also leave the room to cough, something that is no doubt more harmful than a fart?

It's a conversation about farts, it was hardly high brow to begin with, straw-manning won't push it much further down.

Most of the time if I cough in front of people I won't have had a choice about it - cough or stop breathing. I've very rarely felt the requirement to fart on pain of immediate respiratory failure.

She let one go in her sleep the other night. It was magical.

Conversely though, you aren't gonna die from lack of oxygen in what, the 2/3 seconds it would take you to leave the room.

The first time she dropped the bat in front of me, we'd been going out about 6 months, and she stood up too fast off a chair. The only time I've heard an "ooh!" of genuine shock in my life. :cornlol:

Ok, devil's avacado for those that won't fwat in front of their loved one. What do you think their reaction would be if you did it?

I think that's the only time I've heard my mrs fart. She was quite embarrassed when I told her lol... I can't say I'm the same though. I find it hilarious letting one escape in the middle of a romantic moment. Or embarrassing her in public by farting loudly. I'm quite childish when it comes to farts.

On the subject of the not farting in front of people thing again though

What if you're on a jong journey somewhere in a car or something and got mad gas. Do you just hold all of it in and feel sick out of politeness?

Depends who's in the car. If it's mates then it's straight out with no remorse. If it's work colleagues and a long journey then I might let it creep out in small bursts provided i don't think it will smell. If i know its a stinker then I'll hold it in.
