Pain & Gain

Fucking hilarious, laughed pretty much constantly through this. The Rock steals the film, the scene with him coked up at the neighborhood watch meeting is just fucking genius.

The Rock is lame but at the same time has become very enjoyable to watch.

Gotta be roids
I want Riddick to be out already.
I think Vin Diesel bulked up and went all actually strongman Conan style muscles instead of just for show like the Rock.
It's insane how these guys change their physique and such for roles, like Bale for The Machinist to muscular for Batman.

 but yeah, not sure EH knows how steroids work

Also, wow. If you weren't too sure about the quality of the new Riddick film then that trailer must have put your mind at ease, for nothing quite says 'quality film' like casting the wastegash from Battlestar Galactica.

Yeh actually didn't expect to enjoy this at all, was really pleasantly surprised.
can't believe the movie is based on a true story though.. Am reading this article now.

Pacific Rim

I haven't enjoyed a pure-ass blockbuster like this in a long time. Made me feel like a kid. Rudimentary plot, but not offensively dumb. Perfect pacing, they took just enough time with exposition. Of course, robot fights looked fucking amazing. Feel like this would have done better at the box office if everyone hadn't been burned by Transformers, which looks similar in trailers, but is 300 times worse.

Apparently he was told not to get that skinny for machinist but did regardless and Nolan told him to lose weight cause he'd put too much on for batman (although it may have been dark knight).. He's crazy.

How do you lose muscle like that? Does he just starve himself so his body starts using muscle tissue for energy? Isn't that painful? :o

On another note. Pitch Black is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm curious to see how this new Riddick movie turns out.
Chronicles of Riddick didn't really do it for me though.

Who Katee Sackhoff? She's a pretty good actress, she's actually on this show Longmire I dig.

Yea Chroicles was decent, but Pitch Black and the video games were soooo much better. Vin Diesel knows what he's doing though, he fronted most of the money for this because he wanted to continue the series.
I think it's why he did the new Fast and Furious movies and such, so he'd have the money to do the new Riddick since Chronicles was more of a cult hit and not too big at the box office.

Karl Urban is on the cast as Vaako again, so hopefully there is some explanation about the whole ruler of the Necromongers thing.

 She was awful in BSG, but then, I thought the whole thing was crap. Maybe it was the script or director, I have nothing else to judge her by but I trust your word. :4:

I still have to watch BSG, never jumped on the hype train for it.
Longmire is a pretty cool show based on some books, doesn't have a huge fanbase since it's on A&E.
