Thus, when referring to the pieces, neither 'lego' nor 'legos' is correct... but 'lego' lets you avoid looking like a muppet.
Fixed.

It's called trademark dilution btw. Like how Hoover makes vacuum cleaners, but no one "vacuums" any more, we do the hoovering. No one drinks cola, we drink Coke. So yeah saying 'LEGO bricks' is correct and everything, but really, who's that much of a grammar-fascist?
Says the gent with a muppet for an avatard.

Irony at it's finest!

Dear Ms Forster
Thank you for contacting us and for taking the time to share your
comments regarding the use of the LEGO® name.

Our trademarks are the most valuable assets of the LEGO Group, and we
are, accordingly, very vigilant in protecting them and preventing their
misuse to ensure that they do not deteriorate into generic use. For
example, as a trademark, 'LEGO' should always be written in capital
letters and used as an adjective, e.g., 'LEGO® bricks' or 'LEGO®
elements,' and never as a noun. A 'circle R' trademark symbol (®) should, at
the very least, always follow the first reference to the trademark on
each page except when you are referring to the company name, i.e. the
LEGO Group. LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group. For more information
on this issue, please consult our Fair Play policy, which can be found
on our website at www.LEGO.com/info/fairplay.asp.

Thank you again for contacting us. We wish your family and colleagues
many happy hours of creative building and discussion with LEGO brand
toys in the years to come.

They'd still be puppies though, in much the same way as the plural of lego will still be lego. Not for corporate reasons just cause legos is daft

Lucky I've got so many microsofts to say this of course - big up the Gateses

Anyone else find that totally contradictory?

Also, anyone else getting that weird feeling with "Lego"? Like when you look at a word too much and think, is that really how you spell it?
