Curious if anyone knows what "style" of kick drum this is - I really love this sound and have been digging around record stores trying to find a similar sample in old breakbeat, hip hop, and soul records. Haven't had any luck thus far. If anyone knows any good records to sample for this style of kick drum, that would be awesome. I would just use the sample from this song, but it's not isolated in the mix anywhere, really.

if its not from a break on here i dunno. Its a sick website by the way. its going to hae been processed loads probs (gate, eq ect.) but it does sound nice . Im not saying it sounds like anything though because atm i only have laptop speakers.

Thanks for the link - I'll have to check this out. I know the kick drum in the song i linked is pretty compressed and processed. Just having a hard time finding anything similar to it.
