Manchester Dj's
I was out in Fallowfield last night and went to Bar Sofa and had a chat to the manager there about putting on a night during the week, just wondered if anyone else was interested in doing a little all dubstep night? Im just bored of going to indie nights and fancy playing some records somewhere and it seems like a nice place. Any thoughts???

Yes, there is a monthly night called Drum Music put on by Ken Evil and Se7en amoung others who i dont think i know.
Its always big, so check the events section for the next one (its not posted yet though)
there is a breaks fest with Coki playing soon, and mark 1 and Chimpo played last night but i missed that aswell.
but still, a chilled out bar night would deffo be cool. one for bedroom Djs to get out, *cough* like me *cough*
You play?

Forensix(MCR) might be up for playing. Ask him. He's a propper tnuc though. Probably expects a rider with crack and whores. Not sure you budget will spread as wide as his mums tnuc.

Shame to hear about the sound system as i say i only just moved here and my mrs suggested they had nights on there, well im heading up to fallowfield for a few scoops this evening so will pop into sofa and ask her about doing a midweek night, i do dj aswell but i havent played out for about a year so thats why i decided its time to get off my arse and do what i enjoy again. Apparently the upstairs can be hired aswell for about 50 notes but we would have to bring all our own equipment and i havent got a car so wouldnt be able to walk from longsight with my 1210s etc.

drum music and bass camp are the best nights for dubstep in manc imo - and crash was pretty good too.
there seems to be a whole load of new nights coming up this year from what i've seen on facebook, not sure how good any of them will be though. me, i'm happy to stick with DM/BC.
would be nice to see something in fallowfield though. i'm actually planning on putting on a night in october to raise money for oxfam - one off type thingy. once i get things a bit more sorted i'll put some details up and see if anyone wants to get involved (for free like, its for charity!)

Don't have anything to do with this hairy bastard - and I'm talking Fofo not his mum's quim. A ten bag will probably secure the deal - it's a step up for him not having to suck dick round the back of garages anywaymetalboxproducts wrote:Forensix(MCR) might be up for playing. Ask him. Right met the managerof sofa for the third time just now and she told me we cannot do a night downstairs midweek as she feels the music is to dark (even when i mentioned the reggae vibes, anyways??) but we are more than welcome to get the upstairs which is only a £50 deposit and aslong as we have 30 people in the room they will let it run, only problem is as i said before we would need to take decks and a mixer up there and as i dont have a car i wont be able to carry my shit all the way there, i also have no idea how good the sound system is upstairs. Anyone got any ideas or has the dream been prematurely crushed????
