So use your own samples then.

Also, your comp must be a real POS if youre worried about the tiny amount of CPU this little plugin uses.

@Op - sounds great to me mate, thanks for sharing!

:cornlol:

Tweakbench Field is a good alternative to this until it gets developed to import your own samples...comes with a nicer GUI (IMO) and built in EQ;

Hate to agree, but this is a nice bit of kit.

Bit strange that you cant get it to stop unless you mute the track though.....

Nice none the less.

wub you love all the best freeware

@OP: if you have any plans to make this more than a vinyl noise VST, I'd be happy to donate field recordings that you are free to do whatever the hell you want with. Drop me a PM.

hahah well it kinda sucks for us mac users that most freeware is windows only. I was talking about Tweakbench Field btw but the OP's VST seems to be windows only as well.

I just read from:
It says "WINDOWS ONLY!!!"

Didn't do any extra research. Looks like a nice little piece of freeware though.

it's the price we pay...

@wub - Macs can only use tweakbench products with wineskin? I'm not well versed in VST terminology and wrappers and all that stuff, and it seems like that page is talking about within FL Studio...not sure how that translates to Ableton

Angryrancor -

Just had a minute to try to play with the VST ... but I am going to have to pass. I am Mac only, so I can't really consider giving my stuff to a platform I can't even use.

Best regards...

There's others you can use aside from wine (which I thought was only a Linux thing). Plug wire looks like a good one, and of course jbridge.

I was thinking about trying those but honestly seems like more trouble than its worth.

If you've got dope samples that are comparable or better and DAW skills, by all means do your thing. Honestly though I built this thing because I thought I'd use it myself, have come to like it and am happy to share... The built in EQ on that FIELD is a good look though. I was thinking about putting something like that in... Banded EQ seems like a pretty good model too. Intuitive. I was previously leaning towards either a configurable hipass and lopass or a just a few where you would select the type (hipass, lopass, notch... some others maybe), but on second thought banded may be better for the ease of use.

There are a good deal of options for getting windows only vsts to run on macs - here is one that looks really promising:

http://diaphone.blogspot.com/2010/12/11.html

A bit technical, and I'm not sure what the drawbacks are because i'm a windows user/dev myself with a bit of unix and embedded system os experience. That said, I'm looking at options for generating AUs / programs that will run natively on macs. Unfortunately C++ is not my thing... But maybe in the future I could do it with VST.NET and Mono or something since I've done a lot of .net. Not sure, like I said I'm looking in to it.

Word! Definitely will pm you about that shortly, a general "atmosphere" plug is more than likely in the cards in the near future.
