Thanks for the heads up on the HOB pressing. I would of been kicking myself for not catching that one. Took them too long to put it out tho.

people need to realise that it's only a question of time until Anti War Dub and similar will be released as bootlegs. then there will be represses to fight the bootleggers...

happens pretty much every single time.

I think the same people did one for Frank ocean aswell. Im no audiophile but its sounds good to me, they had to use a few versions from the Cd release but its still good.
Reading the thread I linked, the guy spoke about doing the other two then making a box for all three. That would be sweet!
I really dont know why they went through the hassle of makign the box set and not selling the records in a less fancy way for people that arnt loaded..

Anyways Kissland is up for preorder, going to cost £25 delivered though.

Listened to Kiss Land about 4 times now, loving it - stand out tracks for me are The Town, Kiss Land and Wanderlust.

Wouldn't say it's quite upto the standard of the tapes, as he's not breaking any new ground or anything here, but I just love his music

Haven't gotten round to listening to it but I believe his first tape was the best and each tape or release is a little less stronger. The energy and flow of HOB is near perfection in my book.

Fair enough, for me it goes Echoes > HoB > Thursday. They're all brilliant in their own way though. I'd say Kiss Land is probably mainly like Echoes and that'll be why I enjoy it so much

Still addicted to Kiss Land, I think it's as good as anything he's done - Professional, The Town, Kiss Land and Wanderlust are amazing tracks

I'm pretty disappointed with it to be honest, I thought the quality of the song writing had really dropped since the mixtapes. There's some really awkwardly delivered lines and a couple of shit choruses on there (Live For, I'm looking at you). Belong to the World and Kiss Land are great though.

Yeah, Live For's definitely the weak link there, I still like it for what it is though, quite obviously just made to be an accessible single, I just can't help finding it catchy!

Agree 100%..
I find the feel of this album to be decidedly more tacky than his previous outings. The beats are weaker and less coherent and the lyricism in particular comes across as cheap and rushed. Was properly disappointed with this album given that the Weeknd is one of my favourite artists.

If you're thinking of seeing him live I can still recommend tho as he did roughly a 50/50 split of performing the Trilogy material and the new stuff from Kiss Land when I saw him in LDN last month.
My recorded all vinyl mixes are here...
