Re: anobody have or tried the subpack?
I think i had the first one in the UK and its fucking great! It goes incredibly low (i mean lower than fabric's soundsystem low) and has transformed the accuracy of mixes done on my little home setup. The fact that it takes room acoustics out of the equation is phenomenal. It may not be 100% perfect, but its certainly a lot more perfect than a 21" sub would be in a bedroom, with the advantage that no-one else can really hear (certainly not out of the room).

long story short, it slaps, really hard. it's a joy to have, music sucks without it. fat 808's and sine sweeps are the bees knees. a bit expensive though. only worth it if you're going to use it for production imo.

you need to watch it peaking and slightly distorting the bass, but just before that point its frankly, magical.sigmund floyd wrote:thanks for the reply...so its actually slightly audible as well?? what are the imperfections?
It might be slightly bass overload with a hyped pair of headphones (beats, ultrasone 900's etc), but with a fairly balanced pair, its fantastic.
Yes it is slightly audible in a quiet room if you've got it pumping, though on a train or plane, you'd never notice it.

I think its a steal at $350, its studio quality engineering.difference wrote:long story short, it slaps, really hard. it's a joy to have, music sucks without it. fat 808's and sine sweeps are the bees knees. a bit expensive though. only worth it if you're going to use it for production imo.
Re: anobody have or tried the subpack?
true, i don't regret paying 350 for even a minute. this thing has given me what i thought i would never have, chest rattling sub bass in my room with no people complaining. lx ones tunes are so perfect on it..lol
i can't even imagine what this thing would be like if you were rolling, i would probably just jizz in my pants.

Do you guys think this thing going to be something that sticks around for a while? I'd love to have one but don't think I'll have the means to buy one for quite some time. (Gotta get proper monitors and all kinds of other stuff first)

If anyone is going down to the Eurogamer expo at Earls Court the end of the month, then i'll have some demo sets on our stand.
Re: anobody have or tried the subpack?
Anybody in the UK bought one, just wondering about shipping times/costs?

took about 10 days once it shipped, once you've paid the £85 customs charge.mthrfnk wrote:Anybody in the UK bought one, just wondering about shipping times/costs?
