Matt Evans - Green Light

Post by dj infinite » Tue Sep 17, 2013 12:17 pm

Hello all,

This is my first attempt at a Dubstep / Bass tune, and 3rd 'production' outside of my piano/classical-based stuff. Constructive feedback / comments would be greatly appreciated!

your kick is eaten up by the bass, or its just too quiet. try sidechaining your bass to your kick or eqing out a notch where your kick sits and boosting your kick at the same frequency slightly. The tune is nice tho man if you just clean up the mix slightly it will be sounding sick :).

cheers for the feedback dude, much appreciated. Listening back today, I noticed the kick was definitely quiet even though the levels were approaching clipping at times. Must admit, not even looked at sidechaining yet so will understand and implement, hopefully in that order!
