Korg MicroKey 37 opinions?

Anyone have it? I'll be buying it, I want to hear some opinions on it.
I think Korg makes some good stuff, are the keys comfortable to play?

Honestly, I wouldn't waste money on a mini MIDI keyboard. I have the M-Audio equivalent and it's not great. I should've just saved up a little longer and got a decent size keyboard. Unless you're travelling with an iPad or something then they are pretty cool.

Isn't 3 octaves enough? It's not like I'll be playing some serious classical piano music shit.
And what kind of keyboard do you have?
And I think ANY real midi keyboard is better than using your laptop keyboard as a midi keyboard.

Yeah I think so. I could save up for a bigger keyboard (61 keys), it's not a problem, but I just can't imagine how I would use it. Like, it would fit in a studio, but not on my small desk with a laptop. I think this is a pretty good choice. Maybe someone has an alternative for this?

I just bought it and love it. It fits perfectly in my studio and isn't covered in a bunch of shite I don't need and don't want to pay for. It was more or less plug and play with FL Studio. Installed itself when I plugged it in, the Windows 7 64bit drivers work fine.

If you can actually play the keys, I think the short keys might bother you, but since all I do is noodle around hunt and peck style looking for melodies and chord shapes its fine for me.

Three octaves and the octave +/- buttons work well enough for what I need it for. I usually only use it 15-30 minutes at a time figuring something out on individual instruments.

I spent a few weeks researching sub 100 dollar MIDI keys w/o out a bunch of pads and crap all over it. This is the best option I found. My only bitch, that I would have payed 100 dollars for is there is no MIDI out, only USB. Also, the USB chord they send is a joke. It's like 2 feet long. I guess they assume people are using it with a laptop. For ~80 dollars you think they could be bothered to give you like a 4 foot cord...

HQ post, thanks for the information. Now I'm definitely buying it. I can see how useful a midi keyboard could be, because I was just jamming around with my normal laptop keyboard, (which I rarely do), and I came up with a pretty cool melody, so yeah. Thanks again.
