Re: Room Acoustic Treatment!
i would first make sure the boundary knob isn't turned up to 3 if it's up against a wall. first and foremost you're going to want to want squares of foam behind you. definitely have a lot lined up where the sound is firing out of the speakers. after that go behind your computer on the wall in front of you. then from there it's just spot treatment and bass traps if you want to go that far.

Ok Behind the speakers I have a glass window. Let's say in the middle of both speakers.
Dunno If I can put auralex foam on the window....
Any tip?

Personally I've gone with GIK, they aren't the cheapest but very good value for money and they offer great advice

Re: Room Acoustic Treatment!
Are the speakers facing the window, or is it actually right behind them?
Maybe you could find some really heavy blinds

The back of the speakers are facing the window.
I bought a 300 bucks auralex kit.

Re: Room Acoustic Treatment!
Hi, just noticed this thread and looks like you've already sourced one way to treat, just be aware that many foam products might do well to absorb mid/high's but won't be so effective on bass. Rigid fibreglass panels (depending on their construction) will perform better for bass as well as mids and highs (even more effective on bass with an air gap between the surface and panel). I would start by treating the corners and early reflection points and take it from there when embarking on treating your room. hope this helpsHashkey wrote:The back of the speakers are facing the window.

Agreed, the low end and first reflection points should be your prioritycmacoustic wrote:Hi, just noticed this thread and looks like you've already sourced one way to treat, just be aware that many foam products might do well to absorb mid/high's but won't be so effective on bass. Re: Room Acoustic Treatment!

I'll post some photos when I get home.
The problem with the upper corners, well I don't know if It's a problem or not it's that it has a double roof.
it's like a normal roof with with big borders that make almost a second roof.
Will post some photos later.

Re: Room Acoustic Treatment!
alas, my late response again...anyway, If treating ceiling corners, you'd want to suspend panels at 45degrees in the upper corners if possible.Hashkey wrote:Thank you! On the back of the room where I should sit I have a big wall closet with wooden doors. That might absorb some bass too I guess It's 50CM deep.
