Depends on each individual release. Some vinyl pressings are terrible.

2. it supports the artist more

Artists generally make more profit from digital sales than they do vinyl

3. you get the artwork

If there is any...

4. you can give it to your kids

Who won't be interested in it

5. you can have it to look at

6. you can't lose it when your computer breaks

Most of the sites I download from have the option to download again at no extra cost. Also, cloud drives are pretty much making this argument redundant.

7. you can play it at the wrong speed for lols if you want

You can do this using digital formats too

8. you can sell it again if you want

I might be wrong but Im sure you only get a license when you buy digital audio files. There was this thing a few months back where this guy was writing his will and wanted to pass on his mp3 collection but there was some legal issue with it? Anyone?

As for me, I just still can't cope with the desire of owning things physically if you know what I mean. Same with the books - I still buy paper books instead of using an e-reader (although it probably makes sense) just because I love seeing them on my shelf.

still buy vinyl, but purely based on aesthetic reasons. and because a lot of really good stuff isn't available digitally.
