To be honest I think women don't feel the need for a laughing audience to validate their existence. Its more of a male ego boost thing, isnt it?

And to throw one of my own opinions in2 the hat:

Dubstep does not have a good attitude towards women, its a private member male club thats aggressive sound rises out of being rejected by women because you don't understand them.

I think female comedians feel the need for a laughing audience to validate their existence, actually. Just like male gigolos need old women bouncing on their balls to validate their existence.

Let's not be sexist now.

Says the large penis walking through the woods...
I do agree to a certain extent, comments on other threads about certain sounds being 'bitches music' or being for pussies, demonstrate your point. I think it's rather about the opinions (probably unconsidered) of some folk rather than a masculine aesthetic in the sound of dubstep however.

A proper discussion on gendered aesthetics would be jolly interesting.

there are MAYBE 3 funny female comedians. i am not a fan of many stand up comedians though. male or female. theres a big difference though when it comes to stand up and sex. femals talk about different shit. and so i can relate to it a little more, being a female myself. but the men are too funny.

sports are the same. the women get props for doing it all( i was a HUGE basketball player for yrs and yrs till i gave up knowing id never get anywhere with it sine it it totally a male dominated sport and no one cares about the females doin it).

with dubstep. i think most girls dont get too into the type of sounds and music this really is. i dont think they like the grimey bass and the heavy sounds. or the weirdos who usually make the shit. trust me, there are too many dorks and nerds in any given dubstep night. but i overlook that and am there for the music. couldnt say enough about it. im totally hooked on dubstep. but most girls are EH about it. they prefer more melodic shit. singing and all that. i cant stand it.

Singing is for homosexuals.

As is anything more sophisitated than a primitive grunt, indicating either the need to rearrange one's testicles, or to drag a woman by her hair into the nearest dank cave.

im not talking about people i know. im saying the female comedians talk about different shit than male comedians. so women can probably relate more with the female ones. its just harder to find a super funny female comedian.
