Not familiar with the original, but liking the atmosphere/vibes you've got going on here. Sounds melancholic in an afterthought kind of way, as though reflecting on something that has happened with a kind of electronic dread about it.

Actually didn't stretch any of the vocals (just pitched em), mby apart from some of the echo stabs ;-)
