This is the problem for me, I voted Lib Dem in the last election because they were genuinely pushing the only 'left' policies out of the big 3. Also to guarantee that Tories wouldn't get in. What a fucking mistake that was. This country's politics are beyond redemption now. Like all the stagnant superpowers that have been and gone over the ages, the infrastructure starts to fall apart from either complacency, misdirection or over expansion. I think the government has suffered from a misdirection on who they should be looking out for, for far too long.
The ONLY thing that would make even consider voting for any party are policies to excessively reduce military funding, foreign aid and privatisation. And pour all that money into education and social welfare. It ain't going to happen though.
Also - Brand seems like a nice guy with heart in the right place, but the video only made me think he was very eloquent (as his job requires), not a some kind of political messiah as Facebook seems to be claiming right now.
