@mtl6: kick might be a little overpowering, but fits the style of music. it's an interesting combination of what feels like a lo-fi/chillwave synth almost like com truise and trap drums. definitely something I haven't heard before. keep it up!

@alexeyherman: definitely roll off the high end haha. that beeping noise is ear bleed status. i'd eq the whole track in a way that brings out a little more warmth in the low end or consider something like vintagewarmer to take away the digital coldness, unless that's what you were going for. levels are kinda weird though. on a positive note the composition is on point and your sound design is pretty cool

@dubstar that bass sound seriously needs to be compressed, it is sounding way too dynamic on my speakers. almost like if i were to turn them up i they would explode. some harsh/weird frequencies going on there. i don't think you've mono'd everything below 150 for your bass sound, something i think will greatly tighten up the sound. the drums are cool but could use a little panning, it sounds like almost everything is tucked into one tiny spot. funky groove you have going on though, i'm honestly not sure what i'd call it.

this one i've been working on for the past week and a half. i've been experimenting with a different workflow and i like it a lot. involves grouping effects more than tinkering with (and unfortunately butchering i feel, sometimes) each individual sound to no end. i'm pretty pleased with how it's sounding so far. it's a rough WIP, i've really been focused on getting the main loop just right and getting everything sounding as tight as possible. it's the track in my sig. c&c appreciated!

@dubstar999: Just a bit confused since there seems to be no real intro yet in your track ? that's oké just asking ! i would definitely work on your bass patch i don't know maybe your resonance is a bit high ? The bass also has a weird panning effect i don't know if this was intentional but to me it sounds weird. The drums don't really come through a lot so maybe you should process them some more ?

@jetpack: I really like the beginning but i think that at about 50 seconds the part gets really bassy and a lot of them clash together in kind of a messy bass part so maybe you should try and separate your mid and lows better ?

@Jonahmann: I really like the fact that the track has a lot of space going on but i also think you overused the reverb a bit ? everything is really muddy the drums aren't punching through

sounds deep.. the synth is creepy as fuck.

the problem in my opinion is that there is no pressure.
cant realy feel the sub D:
but its crazy.. and is very good sounddesign.
the claps later is to much for me. some filtering would be fine.

Listened to yours, gnarly mate. Love the main bass, solid sound. Would like to hear a break from the bass and get some melodic content in there, but great work so far.

LunchPaddle - Nice, sounds processional, dunno what else to say because I don't tend to listen to stuff like this, but like I said very pro sounding. I can't give you any technical advice for this, its pretty much perfect for what it is, even thou I don't necessarily like it ( if that makes sense).

echoi - Really like the second drop, drums are good, and all the small details. Not a big fan of the first drop, not my kind of melody, but I can see what you're aiming for, and I can imagine there will be lot of people who will like this. Technically speaking its great, but not my cup of tea personally. The transitions from chorus to breakdown is perfect

Kangfa - NIce idea you got going, bass sounds sound nice and full, I think you should work on the melody intro abit more, perhaps work out a better buildup, other than that thou, the rest is good, and your breakdown is good.

@Echoi - Sounding really good, love the dark creepiness to it. Only thing I would enhance the snare just a bit as it sounds a bit drained out but other than that good stuff dude.

@difference - Fresh sounds mate, right up my street this one. Love the disjointed feel to it and the way the percussion slowly steps up. Only listening on laptop at work so cant really comment too much on mixdown, but sounds great so far.

@kangpfa - Great vocal sample find there, nice minimal drum work, always up for some oriental Dubstep, love the bass too.

@paratroxic - Excellent vibes here, such a great atmosphere, love the drums, and some of those synths are creepy as hell. Would love to hear the finished article, as I would all 3 of these!

@zosomagik: really nice tune! I like it, you have something Aphex/Röyksopp-isch... Keep it fresh by havin some nice chords in a smooth synth pad giving it a larger atmosphere maybe? Mabye put in some short snippets of some japanese girl saying like one/two words just to freak it up

@take2: Nice work on the bass lead, but im personally a bit tired of those kind of drums, if you're not super attached to that, i´d rethink the drums. And with the piano, either make it more choppy or make more happen to it throughout the song.

My friend convinced me to transfer from Logic to Ableton, and Im very new i that environment. Anyhow, heres a little something I worked up this evening. You think its something to go further on?

I guess its mainly on that bass lead that has two "structures", and personally I don't really feel that they fit that well together. Note "personally" and "feel", hence the high subjectivity in this opinion. I can't give you any notes on what could improve since Im not that into the whole acid thing.

@wewuk big fan of the tribal sounding drums you got in there. also those are mixed down really well! If anything i'd say toss some white noise sweeps in there to give it some more depth, you'd be amazed at how much a sweep can fill out a mix.

@subfect the intro has a serious trampa vibe to it, digging the deep feel. i'm not sure how you feel about throwing in some real slow metallic sounding synths but it could spice it up a bit. also white noise sweeps all day.

@zorbot the arrangement is pretty good but i'd work on getting some of those sounds in key

No intro, just kinda started writing a drop and melody today and this is where i've gotten to. lemme know what you guys think.
