You know, I like Goblin because it's over the top to the point where it's comical. When the video of it getting played out at DMZ first hit the web (the night vision one with 'Fatman' getting dropped too), that's what really attracted me to it. You may not see it the same way and that's cool, but all it says to me is that brostep is nothing but a deragatory term for filthy dubstep people don't like. Even if it's sonically not that different from something Coki does.

I think the whole distinction between bro and dubstep has just gotten kind of pointless.

It's more the cheesiness than anything, Goblin is completely over the top but to me it sounds deranged rather than cheesy

Even though Coki's productions are out there, there is still a space to them that is not achieved in the emulating that is brostep, brostep is every lowest common denominator thrown in at once, Coki's productions are an experiment in bass and I'm not a huge fan of Goblin or even Spongebob but I know where he is coming from sonically.

No

Goblin doesn't remotely sound like cookie monsta.

I think the problem here lies with you not being able to listen too deeply to stuff.

Though Coki has some absoloute shit tunes now that would be applicable to that situation Goblin is not one of them

how can you think this is so wrong? the guy has changed completly the electronic music in the last decade (for good or for bad...). I understand that the distinction from brostep is pointless because they are both in the same vibe, but we are categorizing him in a style of music of some producers that started copying coki´s style in a mediocre way....
Just taking into account the shock that was BAM009 in 2007 is more than enough for considering him a genious

I love Distract & Pev, but think musical genius is pushing it a little.

Lee Gamble is a fucking good shout though;

Bandshell
wut :lol: ex forum member with copy-n-paste threads aside, he only has a release on anything because he kissed arse in this place like some superfan to the point it was cringy for a lad of his age, his music is a poor attempt at emulating Actress, who he coincidently bummed.
